"The property is beautiful. The service was very good most of the time. When the service wasn't good, it was bad. We were greeted by being told we owed $1190 because our children were listed as 12 instead of 14. Their passport loaded in the Expedia site clearly said 14. Could it have been a mistake by me, sure, but it was 45 minutes of them not budging. Then we went to the room & were told we were not all inclusive. That was a mistake, because we were. They quickly remedied that mistake and...

"From checking in to checking out, everything at Valentin Imperial mayas was great. The grounds are kept impeccably clean, the staff is friendly and professional and the all of the restaurants we visited were great. Our concierge, Mauricio, was very helpful thoughout our stay. Guadalupe did a wonderful job in our room. Franscisco, Milcia, Omar and Alan were some of the servers who made our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be returning."

"Despite a minor problem with check-in, I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and the service was excellent. There was a small problem with payment as my arrival was delayed and the payment card therefore wasn't present when my travel companion tried to check in. This issue was resolved but I then found I was unable to use the payment card stored on the website as Amex is not accepted. If I'd known this in advance I'd have given 5 stars across the board."
