I had a great experience at Occidental Xcaret hotelLlthe park is within walking distance, great food ans plenty of variety, you need to try Pacos Tacos they are delicious. The private beach its perfect for the kids and you don't have to worry at all about the seaweed, theres a barrier that keeps it from getting in. The wild animals are the best, monkeys, iguanas etc, the perfect place for families.

The resort was beautiful. The security around the resort was great. The buffets were good for breakfast and lunch but at dinner all they served was different forms of egg plant. Nonetheless I would return, it’s a great way to visit the Xcaret parks without having to pay to stay at Xcaret.

The hotel is gorgeous and well maintained. However, the rooms were outdated and we didn't get enough towels for the family we had to request them. The cove area was beautiful and allowed us to swim even when the ocean was rough. Plenty of lounge chairs at the beach and pool areas! The vibe of this resort is ideal for those who want to relax in a family- friendly environment. If you are looking for tons of water activities or a party vibe this would not be the resort for you. We loved the jungle feel and wildlife throughout the resort. Staff was friendly and helpful!
