We visited here in 2009 and had the best experience ever, well 17 years later we hoped it would be much of the same. I can’t say our stay was horrible because it definitely was not. We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves, but it was quite a different experience this time around. A lot of restaurants closed on certain days, and even only being at 30% capacity we waited nearly 45 minutes at a restaurant the concierge made us reservations at, but they didn’t have it on the books. The seaweed made it impossible to even step foot on the beach. The clear blue water days are over, unfortunately. While we enjoyed our time, it just wasn’t what we remembered years ago. I’m not sure if they have gotten so big they are spreading themselves thin or if it truly is that they are so short staffed due to being 44% down on tourism. I don’t want be entirely negative of the resort - Kampai and Jade were our most favorite places to eat. Most of the service was excellent. Again, we can to relax after many stressful days at work, and that’s what we got.

Beautiful property. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The room, the food, the staff, the property. Honestly there isn’t anything I would change. This place is a winner in every category. I highly recommend. I went for a solo getaway but it could also be a perfect couples getaway as well.

When we booked we upgraded our rooms with hot tubs on the balcony and ocean view. We booked two rooms. Upon arrival they gave us rooms that faced the lagoon and no hot tubs on the balcony. I went to talk to them and was informed that those rooms are "NOT GUARANTEED " even though we paid for those rooms. After 30 min of back and forth they gave us 1 room with a hot tub on the balcony but still no ocean view. The food is average. I do want to give a shout out to the staff of Del Mar. They made sure we had food and drinks at the Adult Only cabanas behind their restaurant. The staff does not tell you on check in that you have to reserve those or even that they exist. We found them as we were having food at DelMar. If you are looking for night life then this is not the place. There is 1 bar and it shuts down at 11. The sports bar has 2 pool tables but no balls to play. I will not return.

Amazing staff. Amazing property. If you want absolute luxury and comfort this is your hotel. From the heated toilets with built in bidets to the amazing stone jacuzzis, from the fantastic hammocks to the pool lounge chairs and umbrellas, absolutely no expense was spared here. If you want an all inclusive with gourmet food and fantastic attentive service, look no further than Hotel Mousai.
