Extremely Disappointing — Elite in Name Only I stayed at Riu Palace Macao in an Elite Club room, and the hospitality and overall experience were extremely disappointing. The room had significant rust and corrosion on multiple pieces of furniture and fixtures. I also found black spotting inside several light fixtures that appeared to be possible mold or moisture buildup. I showed reception photos and repeatedly asked to see another Elite room before packing and moving. Instead of addressing my request, I was brushed off and told maintenance would come. After waiting, maintenance arrived. I asked if all the rooms had this corrosion and was told yes. I specifically asked if another room would have the same problem, and again was told all rooms were like this. When I pointed out the black spotting and said it looked like mold, the employee ran his finger across it and told me it was “fine.” Beyond the room, the hospitality was simply poor. Staff often seemed indifferent rather than welcoming or eager to resolve concerns, and room service food was terrible. I spent too much of my vacation trying to get basic concerns addressed. Paying extra for Elite Club made the experience even more disappointing. Nothing about the service, room condition, or hospitality felt Elite. I would not return.

We had a wonderful stay at Finest Punta Cana and enjoyed it so much that we extended our vacation an extra night! The resort is beautiful and exceptionally clean. Day and night, we saw staff constantly cleaning and maintaining the property. The pools were spotless, and we even noticed the water being checked daily. The food was excellent. We especially enjoyed Insieme Italian, The Market Kitchen buffet, Surf & Turf, the amazing Tomahawk steak at Dommo, and the lobster and lunch at Duke’s. The staff truly made our vacation special. Dihianna at The Market Kitchen deserves special recognition from management. She was incredibly attentive, warm, charismatic, and provided exceptional service. Ronny at the Excellence Club bar was also outstanding—amazing cocktails, excellent service, and always friendly. He deserves recognition as well! Special thanks also to Humberto and Jairon at the pool bar for their great cocktails and friendly service, Noelany at Excellence Club reception for being so attentive, and Carlos, who welcomed us with his wonderful outgoing personality. The only downside was the beach, which had strong waves and seaweed, although the staff worked constantly to keep it clean. We also had some confusion when extending our reservation, so communication between reservations and the front desk could improve. Overall, an excellent experience. We would definitely return!

The room was ok. I did expect better. The sofa bed in the room had stains and had a musty smell. The restaurant food was good, not great. I also expected a higher standard customer service. I forgot a couple of items which they found and asked for the process to return them to me. I was placed on hold for 30 minutes before I hung up due the wait time. I also email twice giving them a few a days to respond yet still no response. At this point I consider my items lost. Overall, the resort in general did not exceed my expectations.

Clean friendly nice people

Room was clean but issues with shower never resolved. Swim up bars AWESOME Juan was a great bartender, main bar Angel was a great bartender. Food great but slow service.

The property Live Aqua is beautiful. Great architectural set up. Employees were very helpful and attentive. Great food and entertainment. Glad I booked this trip.
