“This countryside property just outside Thirsk is easy to find and offers a wonderful, peaceful retreat. The room was spotlessly clean, featuring a great shower, huge plush towels, bathrobes, and slippers. Having access to a pool and hot tub was a fantastic bonus. The owner, Sue, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. “Property lovely, high standard interior. Staff on reception felt a little awkward as if on guard sat at a desk near the stairs but were always friendly. Access was a little difficult due to cars parked around the entrance to the car park. I guess to avoid the additional charge per night extra charge which we paid. Upon leaving our car was covered in tree sap but it will wash off. We stayed for 4 days and no one came into our room to empty our bins, replenish toiletries or restock the hot drink...

“The lady on reception last night was lovely. Showed us round the facilities and to my room. Bedroom was clean and tidy. Was going for an operation so want able to do breakfast but I’d definitely book again and bring my girls. The hotel was a lovely old manor style house with all its features.”

“The property is very central and has easy access to the city centre. The room was spacious but the pub is quite loud at night and you could hear the music until past midnight. You were just given a key and shown where the room was and that was it. The room only had a bath and I wasn’t aware of that”
