We stayed at this guesthouse because it offered rooms suitable for families with children. The room and amenities were comfortable, and the delicious breakfast made us feel truly welcomed. My children were especially delighted with the bunk beds. We would love to stay there again if we have the opportunity.

Beautiful little B&B with very friendly staff and a cute Apple theme. The decor is a little outdated, but it's clean with comfortable beds. Walking distance from the train station and a short walk into town, it's great if you're looking for a budget friendly option to crash in after exploring York all day.

Danielle has designed a fantastic, welcoming atmosphere at The Apple House. She and her staff made sure we had what we needed during our stay - directions & sight seeing suggestions included. The place is lovely and very well kept. Walkable distance to all city attractions. Great customer service. Bus stop right in front of the building , train station 10 min walk. Delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely little hotel.

Friendly hotel only 5 minutes walk from the city centre. Lovely welcome, beautiful breakfast, great selection of teas and coffees in the room. Car park extremely handy too.

What a great find as a place to stay for a couple of nights. Parking was a key criteria and there was enough space for a few cars. The room was immaculate, the bedding crisp and clean. Bottled water and hot drink options were in the room with buscuits and a Yorkie bar! My room was on the front but the double glazing kept out the traffic noise. The owners were very polite and helpful. You did have to make the breakfast choice the day before but that was no issue. The cold breakfast buffet provided an extensive range of cereals, fruit and pastries. Overall excellent.

Room was lovely had everything we needed, bed comfy had 2 nights where i slept like a log breakfast was yummy and guesthouse owners were friendly and helpful will definitely stay here again when we come to York and only 10 minutes to the center of York

We had a comfortable stay at this property for 4 nights. The location is quite convenient and walkable from the railway station. There are several fast food joints in walkable distance. The owners and staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was reasonably good with a decent spread. While we noticed that most of the rooms were quite well maintained, the furnishings in the family room where we stayed were slightly old and run down, so taking one star off the overall rating. At the same time, the bedding and towels provided were very clean. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to stay.
