Downtown Bar Harbor Vacation Packages for 2026

The location is good but the rooms are not good torn rugs doors beat up. It’s not the hotels fault but above was a family and they let kids jump and down and run around it was so loud on our ceiling it woke us up after getting ahold of the staff they called and they finally stopped.

Terrible stay—highly disappointed.The reading lamp above the bed was heavily layered with dust chunks. There was also a severe issue with the drainage system. A strong, foul odor resembling urine backed up from the bathroom sink, making it unbearable to shower or brush my teeth. The smell even reached the bedroom area while I was in bed. Additionally, the water had a distinct fishy odor, leaving my hair smelling like it even after a wash. It was an extremely unpleasant experience overall.

Elsa's is a wonderful place to stay if you are traveling to Prospect Harbor. It is a quaint building with beautiful rooms. But what made our stay spectacular was Gail. She is absolutely amazing. She gave us lots of great ideas about sites to see during our visit. She makes delicious breakfasts. And she's just so much fun to talk to. We wanted to bring her home with us! We will definitely come back for another stay as soon as possible.
