Opening in 1932, it has served the town of Bar Harbor as a movie palace ever since, accomodating such prominent families as the Rockefellers on their vacations to nearby Mount Desert Island. Kept in fantastic condition over the years, the theatre still has most of its original interior: seats, curtains, and even the original lighting board for stage performances. Room was great. The manager Nick is fabulous, very informative about the area and things to do especially at Arcadia. The hotel was in a perfect place. Food was great at the restaurants near by. Can walk to them with great selections especially cause i have a gluten allergy . Overall a great place to stay.

Everything was great. We LOVED our balcony and location was perfect. The shower/bathroom was a bit small and I would’ve loved to have another middle outside the bathroom, but we would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

The best thing about the Acadia Inn is the location, directly across from the main square in town and very, very easily walkable everywhere! The free parking directly behind the hotel was very much appreciated! Also very convenient location to Acadia National Park. The hotel is really cute, just could use some updated decor in the common areas. The area where they had breakfast and the bar were beautiful. We would definitely stay again!

This little hotel is ideally located in the center of town. Every restaurant was within 2-4 minutes and all other things to see were very close. We loved the front porch and enjoyed the made to order omelettes every morning. Even though it is a hotel, it had the feel of a cozy and warm inn. I recommend this place highly. It’s one of our favorite places that we’ve stayed.

Charming hotel

King room with private balcony was a clean and charming place to stay. Parking on site is tight. Within walking distance to all activities and food. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly and helpful.
