“Me and my partner Ross stayed at The Cornmill last saturday and we both had a pleasent experience, Karen is very welcoming & accomodating and all round a lovely person. The room we stayed in was immaculate aswell and to top it all off, breakfast was absolutely superb! It's a 10/10 from both of us, we would highly recommend and we do plan on coming back in the future. Thank you so much”

“Room was clean and presentable room smelled nice an fresh when we came back after our day out staff were friendly Valerie was a good host lovely breakfasts each day and great parking at the back well secured loved it”

“Property lovely, high standard interior. Staff on reception felt a little awkward as if on guard sat at a desk near the stairs but were always friendly. Access was a little difficult due to cars parked around the entrance to the car park. I guess to avoid the additional charge per night extra charge which we paid. Upon leaving our car was covered in tree sap but it will wash off. We stayed for 4 days and no one came into our room to empty our bins, replenish toiletries or restock the hot drink...

“Por encima de todo, la amabilidad de Danielle y Tarquin. El desayuno, de lo mejor. Muy bien situado, no más de 15 min. caminando al centro de York. Fácil aparcamiento. Muy recomendable.”

“I loved it. Bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was 10/10. I am so glad I stayed at this location! 5 min walk to the historic center of town but quiet at the B&B.”

“The property is very central and has easy access to the city centre. The room was spacious but the pub is quite loud at night and you could hear the music until past midnight. You were just given a key and shown where the room was and that was it. The room only had a bath and I wasn’t aware of that”

“Todo muy bien, recomendado y personal amable… Solo un poco más de atención durante la noche”

“Cracking proper pub with proper grub and bitter”

“Definitely a 5 star B&B. Lovely big room with terrace seating outside, overlooking the sheep and guinea fowl in the fields. Loads of parking. Very clean and well presented. The owners have pretty much thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and feel homely. Breakfast, with loads of choice, is cooked freshly to order in the area that serves as a bistro on several evenings in the week. We ate at the bistro - 'Feather and Beak' on one occasion and the food was outstanding. The owners...

“Food was amazing”

“This countryside property just outside Thirsk is easy to find and offers a wonderful, peaceful retreat. The room was spotlessly clean, featuring a great shower, huge plush towels, bathrobes, and slippers. Having access to a pool and hot tub was a fantastic bonus. The owner, Sue, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and home-cooked, full english breakfast as well as lighter options like smoked salmon and scrambled eggs alongside fresh fruit, yoghurt, and cereals. Highly...

“The staff were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The room we received was very comfortable and clean. Parking was available near the hotel.”

“Enough bedding for the depths of winter and a comfortable bed big enough for us two. An unspoilt Victorian house. Very good breakfast. Plenty of parking, very handy for Pickering & NYMR. We would re visit.”

“Free car parking! Easy to find , nice modern bedroom , shower ,tv , coffee tea etc , We managed to get the key early , Breakfast was Cooked freshly for us .”

“We loved our stay. The room was cozy, the breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect for our visit!”

“Aspectos a mejorar sobre nuestra estancia: La recepción solo opera hasta las 8 pm. Para llegadas después de este horario, el hotel envía instrucciones para realizar el auto check-in, lo cual puede resultar confuso e incómodo para los huéspedes, especialmente después de un largo viaje. El acceso nocturno es a través del estacionamiento, el cual requiere mantenimiento y mejor iluminación para brindar mayor seguridad y comodidad. La ausencia de personal durante la noche es preocupante, ya que no...
