Catalina Island Vacation Packages for 2026

had an amazing trip

Excellent property, well maintained, super friendly multi lingual staff that were very accommodating and pleasant. If you do not enjoy the "festive" scene, request you stay on the side opposite of the pool area, it can be a bit noisy but that's what people come here for right? Great beach area with plenty of seating and private spaces. Spa is great as well, highly recommend using it as it is part of your package. Overall very well done, I will be staying at other RIU properties soon.

our stay at ocean el faro was amazing! the resort is beautiful and all the staff if so kind! we especially appreciated our concierge josé who went out of his way to make our stay amazing!

Dear General Manager and Excellence Resorts Executive Management Team, I am writing to formally express my profound disappointment with our recent stay at Excellence Punta Cana and to request an executive-level review of the unacceptable experience our group of nine encountered during our vacation. We selected Excellence Punta Cana because of its reputation for luxury, exceptional hospitality, outstanding service, and superior dining experiences. We booked this vacation months in advance, investing considerable time, money, and anticipation into what we expected would be a relaxing and memorable getaway. Unfortunately, the experience we received was vastly different from what was advertised and what any guest should reasonably expect from a resort operating under the Excellence brand. Rather than returning home with wonderful memories, our group left feeling frustrated, embarrassed, disrespected, and unwelcome. While disappointing food, inadequate housekeeping, and inconsistent service contributed to our dissatisfaction, the most troubling aspect of our stay was the way our group was treated, particularly after we brought legitimate concerns to the attention of resort staff and management. 1. Unacceptable Hospitality, Customer Service, and Disrespectful Staff Conduct Excellence Punta Cana promotes itself as a premier luxury destination, where exceptional hospitality, personalized service, and professionalism are supposed to be central to the guest experience.
