Standard room was boxy, empty, a little claustrophobic. But clean. Do the upgrade when you first book your vacation, absolutely worth it! Staff across the whole resort extremely nice, friendly and welcoming. Not a place for the partier but if you want a laid back, relaxing very enjoyable vacation this definitely is the place!

We had a lovely stay at HM Alma Bayahibe. The rooms were clean, the staff was courteous and best of all.. the food was excellent!! The buffet was always full of tasty choices, and we were lucky enough to experience their beautiful Christmas eve dinner which was spectacular!! The pools are filled by the ocean and there is ocean access to swim off the reef. Best of all is the Sushi restaurant. It's hands down the best Sushi restaurant anyone in my party has experienced. Marguerita our server was an absolute delight. I will recommend this stay to everyone I know. Thank you for a perfect vacation!

The resort, rooms and grounds were stunning and the staff was outstanding. The food, both buffet and restaurants were good, but not great. However, the onsite sushi restaurant was fabulous, but is an additional reasonable cost.

Overall I had a great experience all of the staff was really nice especially if you tried to speak their language (remember we are in their country). Daniel and Aribella were always smiling and friendly! The room was nice I didn't expect to get a partial ocean view so that was great! I loved how every morning I could wake up and jump into the Caribbean without having to go anywhere (I would trade a beach for this any day). The food choices were plentiful with different options - Buffett, food truck, snack shop and 3 restaurants. There were a few slight snags (air conditioning dripped water) but staff fixed right away, remember you get what you paid for.

This hotel is beautiful and the staff great, the fact that you can swim in the ocean is amazing and the sunset there is breathtaking. I read such a bad reviews about the food that I wasn’t even thinking about eating there but the food was good, a lot fruits and natural drinks to choose from, many good food options to please anyone. I decided to go because of the venue itself and I’m very glad I did because it’s a beautiful place a very affordable price.

This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel and I truly love it. Its very quiet, great to have a relaxed vacation. If you are looking for some relaxation this is the place to stay. The pools are great, amazing views of the ocean and great dinning option. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I will stay again 😊

Beds are rock solid. Food was horrible at best. The staff was awesome tho which was the only saving grace. We ended up eating out for lunch and dinner every night after one person in our group got violently ill and ended up in the hospital. They also refused to give our towel deposit back even tho we had the cards they had giving us cause they lost our info in their towel registry…. Your better off renting a van for the week and sleeping with the 200 stray cats in the area
