“All staff were extremely friendly and down to earth. Very warm greeting by the owner on arrival introducing herself and giving a brief history of the business. Showed us around and explained how things are done with the bar, breakfast etc. even introducing us to their pet, Lionel the parrot. We were given a choice of 2 rooms to pick from. “A very enjoyable one night stay at the highdown inn. We were half way through a 70 mile run around the coastal path and needed to set off early so we would have missed breakfast, but the staff were kind enough to cook us some delicious bacon sandwiches to take with us as a packed lunch.
