“Staff very rude”

“The hotel is in a great location, all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, we didn’t have any room service as hadn’t noticed the service my room sign on the back of the do not disturb sign. All good we would go again.”

“The hotel was really a hostel and did not match up with images on their website. We were expecting to be staying in a country house hotel not a youth hostel. The only facility we had was wifi. The room was clean but very basic with no ability to make ourselves a tea or coffee without walking down two flights of very steep steps to the kitchen which was a health and safety nightmare - no idea why they could not have put a tea/ coffee station on the top floor. There was no television...

“For the price can't complain as you also get free parking. The room was clean and tidy with clear instructions as to how to access the room key. The restaurant is dog friendly also and food delicious. Just bear in mind it can be noisy in the room until the restaurant closes but not a massive issue.”

“Cosy traditional b&b room above the pub itself, surprisingly quiet (never heard a sound) even though the pub below is a very popular place and full every night. Nice breakfast, good evening meal, can’t fault the place. Patrick and the locals were very friendly, we happily chatted amongst them all evening on both nights we stayed. All in all a very good time, would we stay again? Absolutely no problem at all.”

“I booked a last minute one night stay. A very convenient location for staying just off the M5. The room was very nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. The shower powerful and warm. Dinner in the pub was delicious and a good range of drinks offerings. Definitely recommend. Staff were also friendly and helpful.”

“Lovely room, however kettle was in the hallway, not an issue for me but had to keep reminding myself to pick up the key. Parking was challenging and in the early week you have to travel to eat, so car is needed”

“A great location. Co-op on the corner. Directly opposite the National Express/Flixbus bus stop. The Exeter bus station is less than a 5 minute walk. Vue Cinema about a 90 second walk from the rear entrance. The room is sufficient, but basic. Plenty of storage- short on coat hangers, but two large pull out drawers and a storage surface above them. Plenty of other shelving though also to use. Desk provided with also under desk drawers. I had no problem with the amount of storage provided. There...

“Great property and location with a stunning view of the the Axe valley, Axmouth and Seaton. Very hospitable hosts and an excellent breakfast. Nice lounge and good parking, great place for a resting break and plenty to do and see in the area.”

“The yurt itself was amazing, beautiful and very clean with the added charm of your own private hot tub and fire pit, the downside for us was the private toilet/ shower was situated away from the yurt and at night no lighting & very dark the torch provided sadly didnt work. The communal kitchen are was beautiful however the induction hob didn’t work, a Pyrex oven dish that was filthy with caked on food, a couple of dirty pan and pan cupboard that needed cleaning, otherwise to a high spec finish....
