Really lovely overnight stay with a young family on the way south. Ample parking, quiet rooms, lovely hotel interiors & layout, helpful staff, great breakfast, & working air conditioning for the heat wave. Also lovely time in the swimming pool & sauna, excellent facilities.

The staff were all very friendly. The pool was really nice. The breakfast was nice with lots of options. The restaurant served food all day and room service was also available. We booked a standard room which was slightly small but cleaned daily. Had a very nice comfortable stay.

My father is disabled and needs oxygen cylinders and a concentrator: there were plenty of disabled parking spaces and on our arrival, two staff immediately offered to carry the oxygen into our room. It was wonderful that the reception, lounge, bar and restaurant were all on one level (no steps) and close to our room - at my request made at the time of booking, we were allocated Room 1. Despite its proximity to the motorway, the room was quiet and we both slept well, also thanks to the air conditioning and comfortable beds. The buffet breakfast was superb, including many clearly-labelled vegan options: three different plant milks, vegan croissants, Flora sunflower margarine, Alpro yogurt, vegan sausages and cereals. Our evening meal options were good: we ate in the hotel one night, at the nearby Harvester another and at the Hankridge Arms pub too (the latter was further away, but Dad was able to rest in the little park at the halfway point). The Stagecoach PR service ran regularly (except on Sundays) between the bus stop that was a three-minute walk away and the town centre and only cost £1 per journey. I would recommend this hotel and am grateful to all the staff who made this possible.

Hotel is in a great location and all the staff were excellent. Breakfast was decent. Pool was clean and easily accessible The rooms are tired and require a refurbishment the gaps in the window allowed road noise and a draft to the room, cupboard door handles are secured primitively with wood screws and the bedside electric socket did not work.
