Really enjoyed the stay at the Imperial. Staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel needed a little TLC but it must be difficult in this economic environment. Hotel is well placed in the town, views over the sea and 5 minutes walk to the town centre. The only thing that was bad, was the bed had seen better days and we both got up with bad backs.

The Imperial is a large “older” hotel, set right on the waterfront in 4 landscaped acres. The staff are wonderfully kind, helpful, and efficient. The food (we had breakfast and dinner) was very good, especially the breakfasts, with a large choice. We were very happy with and at the Imperial. However, we are very elderly and it turns out that 95% of the other guests were very elderly too, which was fine for us but might not be what a younger crowd is looking for.
