“Room was clean and comfortable. WiFi was reliable and fast enough for streaming. Food was middling (I had fish and chips). Staff were helpful and friendly. 2 mins walk to the beach.”

“Lovely old building, beautifully clean and comfortable. Steve and Fiona were very welcoming and kind. Also, they cooked a mean breakfast from a varied menu. It was delicious. The only downside was the lack of parking outside The Bakehouse. It proved to be very difficult but the upside was that approx 60 yards away was a Car Park for only £3.30 for 24 hours! Highly recommend The Bakehouse if you are planning a visit to East Devon.”

“First I think it’s important to know that this hotel is not near the town centre which is about 0.8miles (20minute fast walk) so it’s quite remote, this would normally not be an issue but now more importantly they no longer do any evening meals, even weekends. There’s a note in your room explaining this is down to the current state of the hospitality sector. I was surprised because even recent reviews give this hotel high scores based on the quality of food and service. So bear this in mind if...

“Beautiful location. Ideally situated for the South West Coastal Path. Lovely pub atmosphere with a good restaurant. Local beer. Staff were helpful on site. Parking. Room was cosy but had everything that you needed. Lovely shower.”

“airport hotels are normally a bad experience, this was just the opposite: spacious well decorated rooms, excellent beds, nice bathroom. Perfect standards! Of course you are in an airport zone with no restaurants, the highway close by and poor views on the parking, but you can walk to the terminal in 3 minutes. ”

“We were only there one night and didn’t eat there in the evening but breakfast was excellent. Room was spacious with excellent open plan bathroom facilities. Pleasant walk into Sidmouth ( approx 3.5 ) miles round trip Ticked all the boxes for what we needed. Would stay again”
