“The key was collected from the shop serving the petrol station which I didn’t know at the time. There is a Greggs and Subway which is very handy for food etc. also the garage station is a Londis which sells items as well. The actual rooms are located behind the building of Greggs and Subway hidden away from the main public area and road. My room was clean and the bathroom was clean and functional. “What a beautiful hotel. I stayed in a superior double which was very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage space, fluffy towels, plenty of hot water and excellent tea and coffee, biscuits and water. The owners were very friendly and made me feel most welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was delicious. You would never go hungry. The air conditioning was a real bonus, although unfortunately it did drip a little water on the floor. My only other niggles...

“The Old Bakehouse was a lovely homely place to stay, and the village of Colyton is in a pretty and convenient location to visit several attractions in the area, go to the beach, cycle or hike. Fiona and Steve were excellent, very helpful, and hospitable hosts. “This is an excellent family run bed and breakfast in the centre of Tavistock. The room was spacious and even though the room was facing the road, I could not hear any traffic. The location was excellent and I loved the character of the road and houses. I would visit again.”
