Enjoyable and welcoming visit

Gave us a friendly and enjoyable stopover for our onward journey to Cornwall. Food was lovely and breakfast included was very nice. Dog friendly with a nice walk across the road through surrounding fields. A lovely setting and would recommend if you’re wanting to break a longer journey up or looking for a weekend stop with your dog.

Never better!

No wonder this inn is rated so highly, it's a wonderful getaway in a charming village. The lamb dinner and hot English breakfast were outstanding. Friendly atmosphere and very welcoming staff. Our room was spacious and clean.

Nice traditional pub, basic comfortable accomodation. No meals on a Monday or Tuesday, so had to drive to another pub for breakfast. It was qiuet and pleasant.

Lovely staff and nice food. Bed very comfortable. Shame you couldn't get a cooked breakfast until 9.30. Too late for us, only continental breakfast for us!

Excellent stay at the Martlet Inn,superb food comfortable room and bed,excellent choice of evening meal and breakfast,would not hestitate in staying there in the future and would recommend anyone passing on the M5 to break 5heir journey and stop here.

Warm and welcoming stay near Wellington, Somerset

Staff were extremely welcoming and hospitable. Room was excellent, nice bed and bed linen, extremely clean and warm - provided everything you might need in way of tea/coffee making facilities and fridge. Excellent TV with all the stations. Stay included breakfast, we only had the continental as had an early departure but hot breakfast was also available. Would highly recommend.

Single nights stay for a local wedding

Lovely little pub B&B. Room was amazing. Very big with separate living room and kitchenette. Staff very friendly and helpful (allowed us an early check in to get ready for a wedding). Breakfast was lovely. Can’t actually fault the place, would definitely use again.

Great overnight - will be back.

Overnight stay - Warm welcome and room was big, clean and had separate kitchen and seating room as well as bedroom - I.e. an apartment. Fresh milk in fridge and bottled water. Food was great and good range of beers and cider. Will be returning.

Stayed for one night celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary we were welcomed and shown to a very comfortable suit . We enjoyed a very nice evening meal beside the woodburner ,and enjoyed a full english the next morning which was beautifully cooked and presented by Danielle , al though it was one night we will recommend the Martlet inn and will definitely stay there again

Huge room with adjooning living room.

Lovely bedroom with an adjoining living room, so plenty of space. There was also a fridge and kitchen sink, but no microwave. (Odd). Our negative was that the bedroom wasn't dark enough, could have done with a curtain on the side window.

Superb !

The room I stayed in was "The nest". Should be called "The best"! It's a lovely room in fact a home from home. My job means I stay away 10-15 nights per month and this stop was one of the best this year. The decor and furnish was clean and contempory, I felt like I was in a lounge nitba hotel. Loads of plug sockets vital for business travelers. Proper tea, coffee, sugar jars not sachets. The bathroom had full size toiletries not tiny unreadable micro bottles or wall mounted dispensers.
