Schrum Vacation Packages for 2026

I booked a Junior Spa Suite for my birthday and paid just under $1400 for 3 nights. I got a room with a bed, table, and chair; missing the suite’s separate sitting area, w/ a desk and sofa. The front desk said the only difference was the bathroom b/c my room was accessible, claiming it had only a shower. It actually had a bathtub/shower combo. The website photos showed both suite types with the same living area, and my friend has the correct suite, so the difference was obvious. The room’s condition was unacceptable! Huge carpet stains, a dead moth beside the nightstand at check-in, a hole around the bathroom ceiling sprinkler, and a magnifying mirror coming loose from the wall. The bed was a mattress on a platform that kept sliding, couldn’t control the thermostat. They sent a tech up to tell me it had to be controlled from the front desk. The location was excellent and walkable, and the woman who checked me in was very friendly. Wine was included, but it was red, which I’m allergic to. For this price, I expected the suite I booked, cleanliness, and a meaningful response to my concerns. I would not return. A great location doesn’t excuse this disappointing birthday stay.

Great place everything near by walking distance downtown area

The staff is super nice and great amenities

We had a bad start with the property. Check in took over an hour, which after a 10 hour flight wasn’t ideal. We then got given the incorrect room, and walked in on another guest in their room. Once we got to our new room, reception tried calling us a lot but our room phone was broken so it kept ringing. The bathroom floor tiles were broken, and the room kept making loud noises all throughout the night from the fridge and toilet. After complaining to Expedia who were very helpful, the hotel offered to reimburse a small amount. 25% of the first night stay. This should have been the full first night stay, but they were not accommodating with this. However, to try and get this refund once agreed was difficult, and each receptionist was telling us different things. One said it had already been processed and to wait, despite challenging several times. Thankfully we had a feeling this was incorrect and spoke to a few more front desk receptionists, and one then refunded us on our card. The only saving grace for this hotel is the location, which is fantastic.
