“I booked a room last minute when other accommodation plans fell through. It really was excellent value for money so we decided to opt for a slightly bigger room with a bath which was worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious with lots of tempting options. “A great friendly and warm place to stay. A basic menu but done EXCEPTIONALLY well. The pie , chips and peas (with copious) amounts of gravy was just gorgeous. A lovely, well kept pint or two, of real ale were also enjoyed. I'd have to say for room 19 , a new mattress is required. The next morning, a GOOD QUALITY English breakfast was consumed with great gusto too. I'd highly recommend!!”

Room adequate for what were required - a place to stay for a night - but could have been paid a bit more attention - the two chairs in the room were looking tired and threadbare.
