We had a fantasic stay in the Swan. All of the staff were great. The accommodation was first rate. The bed was really comfortable. We had two meals and a breakfast there, they were really nice. It is ideally situated for the village and surrounding countryside. We will be using it again. Thank you for making our visit special.

My second visit in 2 months based on my first, very positive experience. Again I booked the dinner, bed and breakfast package for a similar value to a bed and breakfast stay elsewhere. I was given a room on the ground floor close to the dining area and rear entrance which suited me fine. Parking was easy and dinner was tremendous. I went for the same walk to Chawton. A great night's sleep was followed by a great breakfast and I left again very fulfilled with my accommodation experience.

The hotel ticked all the boxes and was just the job. The decor in the room needed a bit of TLC and the windows needed repair or replacement. The staff however were great, really helpful, attentive and considerate.

Well cleaned and maintained hotel, lovely staff. Lovely bathroom and bedroom was stocked with amenities like hairdryer, iron. But no mini fridge?! Unusual. Also, no AC in the rooms made sleeping at night impossible in this heatwave, it was a sauna in there. A fan was provided but didnt make much difference. At least provide portable AC/ powerful fans.

We chose this hotel based on its proximity to the wedding venue at Froyle Park. We were pleasantly welcomed by Elisha on front desk and gave us all the information we needed for our first nights stay. There were some steps to our room but we were already made aware with excellent communication from the team at the time of booking. Our room was spacious for a family with a double bed and a pull out double sofa bed. Bathroom looked very nice and modern with new tiles and a great power shower. Above all, the friendly and helpful nature of every single member of staff we came into contact with made a stay the most pleasant and enjoyable one - it was genuine, you could feel it. The hotel manager who is gifted in speaking multiple languages was so helpful in telling us what was local to us and how to get to places. I struggled getting my young toddlers out by check out time and started panicking, however we were helped by the wonderful housekeeper (I wrote everyone’s names down and now can’t find it) from the Philippines, who helped carry one of my babies down to reception and told me not to worry. Staying away from home with a young family can be stressful and wherever you end up staying can either reduce that stress or make it go through the roof. If I’m ever in Alton again, I will not hesitate to rebook my stay here. Thank you so much!

For a consecutive month, I booked with a Greene King Inn to include an evening meal with the breakfast. The hotel is situated in the middle of a busy high street with great parking at the rear which is easily accessible. I was warmly welcomed and directed to my room which was nice and clean. It was warm and I asked for a fan which was supplied quickly. I went for a 1 hour speed walk and came across a village called Chawton which was a lovely part of the world to walk around. The included evening meal was really enjoyable and served in good time. I had a solid night's sleep and a hearty breakfast got me off to the best start. I would proactively look to book here again next time I am down there.

It's not possible to explain how fantastic the staff were. I got stuck and called the emergency number and the team were amazing and helped. On to the normal nitty gritty: there is plenty of parking, you need to log your reg number when you check in on to their tablet. Rooms are nice, not too fancy but the bed was super comfortable and you have blackout blinds if you want to have a lay in. The bathroom was super clean, and a great size. The only issue (which is not the hotel's fault!) is taxis (including Ubers) around the area are almost non-existent. If you're going, make sure you can book a taxi well in advance as I was not able to book one on the day. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.
