“First arrived and the sign to the hostel was covered so you can’t see where to go We met a really nice lady who told us we should had an email with booking room number we we didn’t.. The room wasn’t great it needs updating the place smells of feet in the corridor and room The room wasn’t great it clean the beding and towels clean just the carpet was stained you didn’t wanna put your feet on it The walls where painted over mold The bathrooms where clean need more than 1 shower and 1 loo Over...

“The room was clean and basic. It was a bit noisy as the plumbing (I assume) sometimes banged loudly in our room. This didn’t go too late into the night and we slept well. The kitchen facilities were good and the large dining/lounge area was a great space. The whole place could do with a lick of paint and a good wipe over. The games and books were tatty with pieces missing (no table tennis with only one bat and no ball!). It was good to have a bar which was reasonably well resourced. When we...

“The hostel is cozy, located close to the lake, and within a short drive or a hike from Scafell. The food at the restaurant is fantastic. There is also a kitchen which can be used to cook your own food. The staff are all very friendly.”
