A First Class experience!

We experienced first class service throughout our stay. The hotel was luxurious and well maintained. Every member of staff we came into contact with was both efficient and friendly. On this occasion we only stayed for one night on a B & B tariff. Our room in the main building was quiet, comfortable & well equipped and breakfast the next morning was faultless with plenty of hot and cold options. Can't wait to return.

It was a wonderful stay, the only thing I can pick at, which is so minuscule is the fact there is such limited times on the spa use. Even then, I’m being picky. Everything else, I can’t fault, one particular thing I have to mention as a positive is the staff are exceptional. They went out of their way, nothing was too much trouble and they were always available to help or let you know anything you had questions about. Overall, we are planning out another trip to the lakes and this is a possible choice

Everything about our stay at the hotel was wonderful but the food served at the Cumbria Life awards was very poor indeed and this was the only blot on an otherwise exemplary stay.

I enjoyed my stay in the hotel my only downfall would be not allowing those staying in the hotel access to the spa areas as due to the volume being only secluded to the indoor pool got crowded an couldnt use the hot tub / steam room not in use

A special 2 day treat.

This is by far the best hotel and spa we have stopped in, it was birthday and my my mum and dad’s diamond wedding anniversary so we treated them to 2 nights away the breakfast great the hotel was clean and the bedrooms were big but the pool and spa are unbelievable.

Wonderful Hotel

The Low Wood is a wonderful hotel. We were very impressed with the friendly staff and level of service. The location is spectacular. The decor and level of comfort in communal areas is excellent. The only problem was irresponsible dog owners who hadn’t even registered their dog with the hotel and left it alone barking in their room for a very lengthy period This was sorted when staff were made aware of the situation.

Stay in the Winander!

Beautiful rooms and views. Love the exclusivity of the Winander rooms, breakfast room and bar. Only let down was service at breakfast, we seemed to have been forgotten and other tables ordered and were served before us who had arrived later. The salmon and poached eggs on toasted muffin was returned twice, undercooked and very wet.

Relaxing break

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. My dog Ted was treated wonderfully by everyone. He was permitted to stay in room when we went for breakfast etc, which was a bonus. Breakfast was fantastic being a vegetarian lots of choice. Only downside not alot of choice for vegetarians when having a meal in the evening. Gorgeous spa.

Nice location and rooms but quite chaotic service with bags going to the wrong room, then going missing on a second occaision. Computer systems seem dated, with lots of booking issues and also bizarre how you have to paye extra to use the outdoor spa area (by far the best bit)
