"The hotel sits in the back of the Black Rock bar and restaurant. Victor is the owner and is genuine and kind. What a lovely oasis nestled off the main road in La Fortuna. The pool is refreshing and quiet. There is an outdoor gym and bar area near the pool and a few quiet places to sit and talk with friends. The room was comfortable and had a sliding glass door/patio. We had an excellent view of the volcano. The hotel has a gate that is closed at night, though we felt perfectly safe...

"Amazing hotel. The rooms were huge and the hot tub with the volcano view is breathtaking. The staff was top notch. Very peaceful hotel and restaurant, pool, and hot spring were clean and relaxing. Only thing I can say negative was if you're on the first floor you can hear the above floor. Would stay here again. "

"A perfect place to relax. And, if you are tired of relaxing there is a canopy maybe 900 m away. But don’t worry you don’t notice that when you are in the hotel (close but no noise). I like the hot spring bath and its close vicinity to beautiful flowers, a green forest in the background and a richness of birds. There is a good restaurant near it if ever you are with no car."
