What made the trip was the backyard with the hot tub especially after a long day hiking doing activities, can’t beat the great price buuutttt I will say the pillows have a scent to them like not clean, the bedding lowkey smelled like wet cloths that didn’t dry completely if you know what I mean, the sink was clogged so it couldn’t be used but great prices especially if your looking for a quick one night or 2 at la Fortuna

The property is amazing! We enjoyed the amenities: nature trails, river, bird sightings, cabin, and clean Jacuzzi. For a fee, you can enjoy a Costa Rican breakfast including freshly squeezed orange juice and a fruit salad. We love the place and have stayed there several times.

I could NOT recommend this stay more, it was absolutely amazing. The rooms are like private bungalows that have hammocks, a hottub, and a small fridge. The bar on sight is also a fantastic place to spend some time in the afternoon. It’s extremely close to the city center, the waterfall, and other activities. I wish I could have stayed longer!! I’d return in a heartbeat.

We had an excellent stay, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Our large cabin was on the edge of the Rainforest and would choose it again. The small bar had games to play and the bartender made amazing drinks - we made this a part of our day. On site we saw a variety of birds, including a toucan. 100% recommend this property, especially for visitors with their own rental vehicle.

I accidentally stumbled into this location and boy was I pleasantly surprised! The property was beautifully maintained. Each lodge offers some privacy from others by using plant life. The tub was ridiculously large, fitting 4 people. it was quiet, peaceful, and a beautiful example of local hospitality. The staff was friendly and offered local tours (which we used). They are located very close to local sites and are within walking distance to a small market, shops, & restaurants.

We loved our time at Rancho Cerro Azul. It was an awesome place with a friendly staff. The two bedroom cabin was perfect for our family of 5, plenty of space to all sleep comfortably without being on top of each other. It was clean and a great value for the price, it was also located close to restaurants and a lot of the area attractions. Our only complaint is that our specific cabin (#10) was right near the road, so there was a little bit of noise, and also the drain on the patio hot tub must’ve not sealed all the way because we couldn’t ever get it to fill up. But all in all, we would stay there again and recommend it.

Perfect hotel! You are immersed in the jungle and the scenery is amazing. Hotel was spotless, staff was friendly and helpful, food was good, great location. This was the perfect hotel for our trip to La Fortuna, I would definitely recommend it and stay here again. Each room has it's own personal hot tub on the balcony and you're surrounded by trees and flowers which makes it very private. There are stores and a couple of restaurants within walking distance as well.

Stayed for 3 days in March and found the hotel and staff to be great. The bed was comfortable and the amenities (kitchenette, bathroom) were good quality. The food in the restaurant was excellent. They have a lot of different choices for lunch and dinner and the servings were generous. Breakfast was also very good but we found it pricey for what you got. The staff - Alonso, Izak and William - were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

Great stay! Beautiful property with tropical plants all around. I am big on cleanliness and I would say it definitely passed my expectations. A nice jacuzzi unfortunately I didn’t have time to enjoy but it’s there. Staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in the family cabin which was two rooms with 3 full size beds with lots of space ! The cabin was located next to the street so my only con was the noise from the vehicles passing by at night especially the motorcycles & trucks. I am a light sleeper so my first night was a bit tough. I know that’s something that’s not in their control but good to know for those who’d prefer a cabin away from the street noise. The hotel isn’t in town so it’s farther from hot springs so it’s a good idea to have a car or take an uber/taxi around. Other than that it’s a lovely place !
