Excellent and kind staff! Truly, each person working between the dates of my stay were helpful, knowledgeable, efficient, and kind. The physical conditions of the property were poor. Hot water does not appear to travel up to the showers in this multilevel building. Each shower taken was cold; spout dripped all night though powered down. Elevators were okay; it’s essential to never occupy a crowded elevator, I knew this and was advised by staff so I never experienced any challenges there. Ice machines need some attention. Otherwise the visit was accommodating. Centrally located: shops, bodegas, and restaurants on the same street, close to time square and Broadway district.

What a great stay! Location is perfect for getting around the city, though bring ear plugs so you can sleep through the city noise. Hotel St James is lovely! They allowed us to store luggage before and after our stay so we could enjoy every minute of our time in the city. Room was so clean and lovely and spacious. They have a water cooler in the lobby to fill your bottle for the day, and since it was 100 degrees, that really helped! I would absolutely stay there again!

The hotel was clean and convenient for me. When I come back to New York I will be staying there again. The staff was nice and helpful.
