We had a comfortable stay. Our room was renovated and quite nice. The breakfast was simple but everything tasted good and the breakfast area was well-stocked and clean. I feel like the staff there makes a strong effort to make things nice in an older building. One drawback was every room is pet friendly, and we felt like we could smell that in our room. The location was great and so was the price for the area. All things considered, I would stay there again.

This hotel has been recently updated. Its well maintained and clean. Pool looked inviting but we did not actually use it. The location is excellent . Close to many tourist sites and plenty of food options. We were there to visit the Mystic Seaport Museum which is about 7 minutes away, My only issue was the breakfast fare. Mostly carbs and lacking protein except for hard boiled eggs and over sweetened vanilla yogurt from a soft serve type of dispenser.

Our room had a funky smell the entire visit. Housekeeping did spray air freshener but it only masked the smell. It seemed to be a plumbing or moisture issue as it was concentrated in our room’s bathroom. Appreciated having complimentary breakfast and the location is close to the aquarium/Old Mystic Village.
