“We had a wonderful weekend at the Wheatsheaf - everything from arrival to departure was just wonderful. The onsite parking in the middle of a town was very welcome. The staff on arrival were friendly and helpful and the room was clean, comfortable and tastefully furnished (thank you for the room upgrade). “Lovely room, perfect for relaxing after a day out walking. Chosen because it was dog friendly and it did not disappoint - good for walking into town and loved that there was a map showing us how to get there by avoiding the main road. Breakfasts were delicious! Thank you for our stay.”

“Very nice accommodation, clean and well appointed. Great shower, comfy bed and nice quality bedding. Breakfast was very good - tasty bacon and egg roll, yoghurts, cereals, fresh fruit. Highly recommended. ”

“Good location and clean, attractive property with plenty of space - ideal for a family. It was a last minute booking so we were grateful to find it. We were absolutely warned about possible noise from the bar below and that it would go on late (and earplugs were provided) so we can't complain about this because it wasn't a surprise, but I don't think I could stay there again at a weekend.”

“Comfortable room, friendly staff. Had pleasant meal one night, and enjoyed cooked breakfast. Spent few hours in pub lounge, great atmosphere. Small point, we were in room 9 which was noisy at night due to extractor fan out side. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.”
