Beautiful manor with lovely grounds small lake with ducks room clean chairs did have a few stains which need addressing overall wonderful stay and would revisit free parking an added bonus and the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice

Me and my partner stayed for 1 night. it was such a relaxing stay. Nice to have a walk around the beautiful grounds. The breakfast was amazing. And the people who ran the manor was so helpful and polite. We will be staying again.

After the warm welcome, we were shown to our room and all the room facilities were explained properly. The property has so much fascinating history and the current owners have gone thru great lengths to keep it all in the best conditions. We loved the breakfast with a great choice. Wow wow wow ! What a stunning place to stay. Steven one of the owners of the building greeted myself and friend as we arrived. He was such a lovely and accommodating host from the swcond we got to the hotel. Martin work also works at the hotel was wonderful, pretty sure he cooked our breakfasts which were delicious ! What can I say other than it’s been an absolute dream come true and thank you for being so kind.

Absolutely sensational. A true hidden gem. Booked this not knowing what to expect but WOW! This place is a work of art. The owners have renovated this lovely building to an exceptional standard. The place feels fit for royalty, and you can definitely see the attention and care to detail the owners have put into this. Room was 10/10 and designed to a very high standard. From when you arrive and walk into the place, you will get an instant feel for how special this stay is. Breakfast 10/10, everything provided and more. Full hot menu alongside plentiful cold options. The owners/hosts were so helpful and friendly and we would recommend this stay to absolutely anyone looking for a peaceful and tranquil stay. Extremely highly rated. It is not possible to say how wonderful this hidden gem of a location is. Stephen and Kris were wonderful guests. So welcoming and kind. It was our second to last night of our 8 night trip. A different place every night. Hands down, without question, the most exquisite location we stayed at while driving through England. Their attention to detail, exceptional. Quality of the bedding, towels, bathroom supplies were all the highest quality. I have stayed in more places than I can count throughout my life and this is a place I am already wanting to come back to for the stay. My only regret is that we only booked one night. Had I known of this location I'd have planned on spending at least a few days just to relax and unwind. Amazing, amazing, amazing. Thanks Stephen for the referral to the Lamb Inn... top notch food :)

This is an exceptionally restored period property with many comforts and a warm personal touch from the hosts. The grounds and environs are spectacular, with many great hikes straight out of the front door or from nearby Hayfield. Recommend!

This was a lovely property and a fantastic location to reach all the hikes locally. The breakfast was incredible and service was great. This property is well worth a visit. Local restaurants were also very good. My advice though is if you are staying during the warm weather to be prepared. There was only a small fan in the room and it was so hot it’s was unbearable. I appreciate it is an old property and doesn’t have air conditioning but I felt we should have been told that it was that hot in the room before we arrived, as we both felt quite ill and had very little sleep and to be honest with the hotter summers we are now having there should have been more preparation for this. I would suggest bigger fans or an air conditioning unit for the room. The small fridge in the room was also so hot and had broken down all the milk went off. We did nearly check out due to the heat so be aware of this. Apart from that it’s a fantastic property and great location. I would return but not if it was a very hot unless something changes.
