“Un hotel muy especial, con casitas y estudios al lado de un lago. Entorno privilegiado, todo muy nuevo y con grandes comodidades por ser bungalows. Hemos estado 3 maravillosos días conociendo ese bonito lugar y se agradecía llegar en esa pequeña cabañita para relajarnos de todo el ajetreo del día. El personal dejaba bastante que desear sobre todo porque parecía que eramos raros por el hecho de no ser del país. Sufrimos algun episodio desagradable con ellos que no voy a explicar detalladamente...

“Check-in was quick and easy - the lady who checked us in was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Our room was lovely, with a large and comfortable bed, plenty of cushions, and a peaceful, warm atmosphere. There were also tea-making facilities and a fridge, which was a nice touch. “La relació qualitat preu no es correspon a un hotel de 4 estrelles. L’habitació era petita i les finestres donaven a les instal·lacions tècniques de l’hotel, en canvi el preu corresponia a una suite. Necessites un vehicle per arribar a l’hotel. Els serveis de personal i especialment la cuina son excelents. ”

“Stonecross is a lovely old manor house that has been well restored. Quite often these old buildings fall into disrepair because of cost, but my wife and I felt it was really well presented. Stonecross is located close to the M6 but a short drive from The Yorkshire Dales or Lakes. The lobby is spacious and classy feeling with the tickle of piano music in the background. There is parking for around 10 cars with EV charging for three or four. The charging is provided externally by enozzle. 32 rooms...

“I stayed at this hotel for three nights at the end of August 2025. The hotel has a private car park with plenty of spaces. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room and en-suite bathroom I was allocated were clean and both very well equipped. The bed was comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was excellent. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.”

Our room was available earlier than stated and was very clean and comfortable. The location was great too, just a 15 minute walk to the town and Lake Windermere. “La habitación que nos dieron para dos personas y una cuna era muy pequeña y con una ventana con vistas a un espacio cerrado. Era muy difícil moverse en el espacio de la habitación con la cuna. Estaba muy bien la terraza del hotel ( el tiempo fue muy bueno ) y las instalaciones comunes.”
