Abbey House is a really good hotel - one of our favourites. The building and its settings are very impressive and very well kept. All members of staff that we met and dealt with were friendly, helpful and cheerfully efficient. This hotel really does deserve to succeed. The only minor fault was in the restaurant where the service could be slow and the waiting staff not quite as attentive as they might be. We dined in the restaurant on three successive nights, Sunday was very slow, Monday it was slow but better than Sunday and on Tuesday it was everything that I might have expected.

Hotel was lovely, very clean and the staff were all very attentive and polite. Only down side was there was functions on 2 days while we were there and the music was loud and travelled to our room. We weren't warned about this pervious even though reception said we should of got an email about it. It did turn off at midnight but did keep us awake. Breakfast was very nice, lots of choice and staff were very helpful. Would book again but would check for functions before booking.

Spectacular from the start the hotel looks amazing from the driveway- reception staff were amazing- our honey moon suite perhaps the best room we have stayed in , in the Uk - called Spring. The bar tenders were great with cocktails and some LP the evening meal was great value and tasty - no noise from the wedding- fabulous sleep. Lovely breakfast- walk down to the abbey ruins in the morning- can’t fault it - just needs a spa😂

Great stay but there was a wedding on (which we were warned about before) so noisy with music and children running about. Room fairly small but a really nice bathroom, comfy bed and a first class breakfast, would not hesitate staying again.
