“What a beautiful hotel. I stayed in a superior double which was very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage space, fluffy towels, plenty of hot water and excellent tea and coffee, biscuits and water. The owners were very friendly and made me feel most welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was delicious. You would never go hungry. The air conditioning was a real bonus, although unfortunately it did drip a little water on the floor. My only other niggles...

“It was a lovely place to stay while in Dorset. It’s an 8 minute drive to the main Weymouth beach promenade. 36 minutes from Durdle Door, 46 minutes from Sherborne Castle. The breakfast is really good and we left with full tummies ready for an adventure. However you do have to share a table with other guests at breakfast. If that is not your thing, maybe it’s not for you.”

“This is a good value option in Lyme Regis. The building is old but quite well maintained. The ensuite was very good and quite large. The bed was comfortable. The gentleman at book in was very good and very helpful with dining options in the town. All round I would certainly stay here again.”

“The key was collected from the shop serving the petrol station which I didn’t know at the time. There is a Greggs and Subway which is very handy for food etc. also the garage station is a Londis which sells items as well. The actual rooms are located behind the building of Greggs and Subway hidden away from the main public area and road. My room was clean and the bathroom was clean and functional. “Our room was lovely, suitably large with 2 good wardrobes and a light over the dressing table mirror. The mattress was very comfortable and table water was always available. Breakfast was served in the conservatory with a lovely view of the enclosed garden. We ventured away from the Full English to try the omelettes which were delicious! The owner, Noorani Willamson is charming, chatty and very knowledgable about the surrounding area.”

“The Old Bakehouse was a lovely homely place to stay, and the village of Colyton is in a pretty and convenient location to visit several attractions in the area, go to the beach, cycle or hike. Fiona and Steve were excellent, very helpful, and hospitable hosts.
