Washington Plaza

10 Thomas Circle NW, Washington - Map
"Nice hotel within walking distance to National Ma"
Slight issue first night with another hotel guest resulting in us being woken up by police at 5 am. Fire statonight close by and frequent sirens. Parking a concern since it is underground with low overhead and we are driving a truck, but staff ashifted us to leave via the entrance. Parking rate higher than on website - raised to $30/night plus tax. Room itself was comfortable.

"Amazing Service"
The bellboys there are amazing and so helpful. The hotel is beautiful. It is walking distance to the Lincoln memorial, the White House, and foggy bottom which is where we would catch the metro rail. Also, really neat restaurant near by called Tonic with good food and cheap drinks as well as a couple blocks away from a Whole Foods. If I were to visit again I would book this hotel.

"Nice and we'll located hotel"
The hotel is nice and it's well located. The rooms are a bit small and they don't insulate the sound from other rooms correctly. They also lack microwave if you are in need of that. Besides that the rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel also provides free WiFi. I would definitely come back if I visit DC again.

Kimpton Carlyle Hotel Dupont Circle

1731 New Hampshire Ave Nw, Washington - Map
""Smart Hotel" "
The Carlyle is located in the Dupont circle area which is very convenient to the city in general. Our room was extremely comfortable and very well appointed. The bed was memory foam and very cozy. Loved the fact that they had a dressing table in the bathroom, with bench and mirror for doing make-up. The room also had a micro-wave, fridge and Keurig coffee maker which made really great coffee. Altogether very comfortable with unusable amenities. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We normally stay in Hilton Hotel, but found this Kimpton Hotel to be superior, and would recommend it highly.
