The State Plaza Hotel was a pleasant surprise. Clean , great foggy bottom location, spacious rooms/ bathroom and kitchen. Helpful and friendly staff, even has a nice place called the Garden Cafe to grab a bite for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great place to stay if you are in Foggy Bottom.

Loved my 5 day stay at the State Plaza hotel in DC! Great location, walking distance from most of the key places such as the Mall, Lincoln, Washington memorials, GW university campus, etc. Rooms were spacious, well maintained and the best part was the kitchen that had all the utensil, cookware, and amenities I would have wanted. Definitely my go to hotel for the next visit coming up in a few months :)

Staff were outstanding! Location was perfect, not downtown, university neighborhood with absolutely no issues. Taxis via CURB were phenomenal. Bathroom was excellent but cramped. Restaurant needs assistance but DoorDash delivers or take a cab to one of many restaurants. Definitely would stay again.

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. We loved: location, walkability to many cool areas, safety, staff was very friendly, beds were very comfy, affordable We didn't have any negatives our room did not have a view as we were on the first floor to the side so if that is important to you I would ask before you book . I would stay there again.
