“Lovely room. We booked the dog friendly room and we had dog bowls, and a doggy treat pack including toy, treats & poo bags. Nice little touch! Great food as always, lovely full English breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.”

“Stayed here a few times. Service didn’t feel as good as previously. Few things missing in the cabin (milk) kindling, logs. Managed to get some from staff but they weren’t replenished. Had a meal in the restaurant. Again not as nice as previously”

“Beautiful property out of the bustle of nearby Ambleside or Hawkshead. Lovingly cared for and staffed. Gorgeous views, delicious breakfast and dinner, and a hot shower. Hikes out the door. 5 minute walk to Beatrix Potter's home at Hill Top. We hope to return.”

“Exceptional stay! Beautiful breakfast, great location and very clean! Would highly recommend.”

“En la relación entre precio y calidad tengo que decir que estuvo muy bien, especialmente porque la estadía fue muy corta. “Regrettably our room number 6. Did not smell nice. It had the smell of old wet trainers. We did mention it and a room diffuser was turned on. Some of the fixtures and fitting were falling apart. The shower was head was not appropriate for the size of the shower causing flooding. The staff were lovely and theroom was clean.”

“I rarely write reviews about holiday stays but had to do so for our three night stay at Grange Manor. The room was fabulous-luxurious,spotless and so comfortable and the extra finishing touches made it a home from home. Breakfast served every morning in the room was a delight. No noisy dining room nor rush to have table cleared away. All was at our pace which was what we wanted. A peaceful haven in a beautiful setting with the most friendly and helpful staff made this break first class. We...

“Fantastic location and friendly staff. Wonderful cooked breakfast. Great choice of local beer.”
