The Inn is beautiful -with an awesome view and easy access to downtown Bar Harbor - and very close to Acadia National Park. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend the Saltair Inn to all travelers.”

“While we enjoyed the caretaker the property was not represented upon our booking that it would be in repairs/restoration during our stay. There was garbage and debri from the repairs/renovations all over the backyard which was visible from our room. There was garbage on the front porch and outside our room and an overgrowth of weeds (not native wild, just unattended walkway weeds) which took away from the BnB ambiance. There wasn't a blind in the window in the bathroom just sheer curtains...

“Had a wonderful 2 nights stay in a spacious room with a king size bed, fireplace, two sitting chairs and full-size bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and I appreciated that the room came with an air-conditioner unit as the temperatures were very warm that week. Coffee, tea, water and homemade snacks were provided in the afternoon and breakfast was included and served in choice of two locations. The breakfast sandwich that I was served was delicious and staff was very tentative. ...

“Wow! This was the most beautiful place. The property is tucked up on a beautiful lot of trees and ferns. Our room was just gorgeous with beautiful furniture, wallpaper and a fireplace. I couldn’t believe we were staying in such a storybook place. I found Mike at the checkin super kind and helpful. He also gave great recommendations for hiking based on my husband’s mobility needs. His advice was perfect—made our trip! You can literally enter Acadia from the trails directly behind the hotel....
