“Th Leicester Inn is a very old listed property and as such has some wonderful aspects giving it great character. Being old and listed also means that modern features like double glazing and air conditioning are not present and we stayed on one of the hottest days of the year. Our room was very hot but a fan was provided and we were able to have an open window. There is a good size car park at the rear of the Inn. Food and service were superb.”

“You cannot talk to them, my flight got canceled as one of the plane engines almost exploded and I tried by all means to cancel and I only got automatic responses and automated emails saying that they were welcome to receive me ”

“Arriving is a little dodgy - we got there around noon, and had plans to meet friends. They wouldn't check us in, and told us if we got back after 11PM (when the pub closes) we would be unable to check in. They did hold our bags. This made us have to burn some time until 3PM when they could check us in, so we would have a key to re-enter later. Not super convenient. The room was 4 flights up, no lift, no offer to help with luggage, so if you are not pretty fit, look elsewhere. The stair was...

“Para empezar, no te recibe nadie, los Elevadores no funciona de 7pm a 11Am, yo escribí que llegaría más tarde, porque hubo cambios en el vuelo, llegué con 4 maletas, ellos me enviaron email con un código para abrir la puerta de entrada, hasta ahí bien, cuando abre la puerta, las escaleras eran pequeños escalones impinados, incómodos, por cada piso tenía que subir aproximadamente 45 escalones y me habían dado una habitación en el cuarto piso, cuando llegó al 4to piso, me dirijo a la habitación...

“Helpful staff and nice pub with decent food. Exterior room not anticipated - at back of car park and noisy with arrivals/deliveries etc. from 5am so sleep impossible. Room itself ok, basic but clean, but tiny shower room needed some tlc. Airport taxi from Gatwick a rip-off at £27: local one back £17! ”

“Great village pub in a quiet village, rooms are great and have everything you need - nice touch of breakfast cereals, milk, yogurts and fruit for breakfast. Staff are all very helpful. The pub has an excellent food menu with lots of choices, we had our evening meal here. A great nights stay before we headed for Le Shuttle which was only 40 minutes away, an ideal stopover to start our trip.”

“The room was lovely. We couldn't open 2 of the windows so it was an incredibly stuffy night. There was a fan provided but opening the windows would have been a better option. A small thing really.”
