“Everything here is brand new, in a very old manor. We spent considerable time with two of the three managers while we were there, and found them to be incredibly accommodating and kind. The room was wonderful. Spacious and clean, bed very comfortable, bathroom lovely. The bar downstairs in the old wine cellar is a vibe. “We loved staying at the Elder Grove! Lovely room with a comfortable bed. On the main street, but outside noise never bothered us. The location makes it very walkable around Ambleside. Nice extra touches in the room like cookies and cocoa. The 'Herdy' mugs made me smile and the toilet paper has the ouline of little dogs imprinted on it. Breakfast had a nice selection of cold items, including homemade granola which was excellent. Made to order hot items. Andrea was very warm and welcoming.”

“A wonderful pet friendly hotel in the heart of Grasmere. It was decorated beautifully, and the room we had was spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious, with a range of cooked options and a buffet style breakfast too (not to mention the dog got a sausage every morning!). Our only feedback would be that our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, though it was only three nights.
