We stayed only 1 overnight on the way down from scotland. We could see lot of people staying for visiting the lakes. The hotel is in a very nice location. They are also pet friendly and they provided us a towel and a bowl for the dog. We highly recommend both breakfast and set menù dinner which was very nice. Room was clean and bathroom looked recently renewed.

We had a fantastic 3-night stay in 'superior' room 7. The welcome was super-friendly and the breakfast excellent. Brilliant location with good parking. Our room was large, charming and had a lovely green view. The breakfast room had a lovely ambience. The four-poster bed was comfy and the bedding great quality.

I had a room with paper-thin walls. I could hear my next-door room neighbors late into the evening...they were just having a normal decibel conversation but the walls were so thin between us that it was all disruptive to falling asleep. I found the main manager when I checked in a bit off-putting. Her Fri comment that "I'm off after today and I need it" (in so many words), typified her manner throughout all interactions. Breakfast was very good, especially my Sat morning breakfast made by a young chef and his solo female companion, the waitress. Lovely people 'covering the fort' in the most gracious manner.
