It’s a nice property but badly managed with ZERO quality control on the services provided. Although the housekeeping staff is friendly, they are not properly trained to provide at least basic services. For example, I only got clean towels properly arranged on the bathroom only one time in one week of my stay there, the day that I requested; no refil of coffee capsules; no refil of shower gel; and etc.
It’s definitely not the week vacation that anybody could wish for. No more Maxwell Residency.

Es bueno el lugar te hacen sentir bien y escuchado si tienes algún problema solo que algunos de los trabajadores te limitan la comida y la bebida pero solo fueron alrededor de 4 personas el resto solo fue amable mi familia y yo no desperdiciamos y al decirte que no agarres pues ya no comes agusto pero en lo general estubo bien los restaurantes de especialidades el italiano de no ser que tuvieron un detalle de cumpleaños con mi hija seria lo peor de todo lo unico bueno seria eso y un par de meseros muy amables la verdad ! El mexicano y japones excelente 👌!!!

My family and I have stayed at RIU Vallarta and at RIU Palace Pacifico in Puerto Vallarta. This time we stayed at RIU Flamingos since we saw they remodeled. The staff is not as friendly and attentive as the staff at RIU Vallarta and RIU Palace Pacifico. We didn't care for the horses in front of the beach. They leave their mess and you have to watch where you walk to make sure you don't step on it. I would rate the food a 6 out of 10.
We were not told at check-in about the process of making reservations for the Steak House. When we showed up at the steak house, we were told reservations are only made via the app. They open 40 slots at 12am and once they are full, the reservation is closed. Good thing we found out before our last day there. I was able to reserve at 6:30am for that night.

It is a very big beautiful property with great restaurants/ food choices and snack stands near the pools. There’s a nice kids pool that is very shallow and has slides and water falls. It has a theatre with nightly performances, we saw a great 70’s Disco sing & dance performance. It has a night club for 18 years and over with a DJ, that was great fun. The Lobby bar is a great hang out place to chit chat, have some drinks and/or play jeopardy kind of games, or just watch a large movie screen showing concerts and playing great music. The only down side is being far away from the airport. It’s 45 minute drive. And it’s not near any walking distance stores or other restaurants. We visited during early August and it’s very humid, so we were uncomfortable most of the time. And could cool down only when we returned to our room. The buffet and restaurants were not cool enough. Only the Japanese restaurant was cool. We were in sweat the entire trip. The water temperature in the pools are warm, too warm for our taste, we wanted to cool down and couldn’t. I suggest going when it’s not so humid.

This hotel blew away my expectations.
The hotel was older but clean and well set out.
The rooms were bigger than I expected, as I’d only reserved a standard room.
Staff were attentive and exceptionally polite and were always asking if we needed anything.
Beach and pool and location of hotel was perfect.
I really can’t find any negatives. The slightest of blips was when we arrived at the hotel at 2:15 PM and had to wait 45 minutes for our room to be ready at 3 PM.
I’m not a big deal as we went and grabbed snacks and a drink, and even then the staff apologies and gave us restaurant vouchers.
Will be returning for sure in the future

Las áreas verdes bien cuidadas . Les falta tener otro buffet restaurant , porque a las horas pico se aglomera los clientes esperando una mesa .
