The property is secluded and surrounded by jungle. It has a small beach that’s only accessible to hotel guests, but it’s not safe for swimming. The rooms are large and reasonably clean, though they’re outdated and would benefit from renovations and upgrades. The water in both the room and the pool is salty. The staff is friendly, the food is excellent, and the views from the pool area are stunning.

Staff was very friendly and the food was amazing, the best food I've ever had in a resort! This is also an optional nude beach, we did not see any information regarding it but we were the only ones at the hotel so it was no issue. Would highly recommend if you are looking to relax. My husband got the 80-minute massage there at the hotel and it was the absolute best!

Buen día. El hotel es tranquilo, el paisaje es muy bonito, tiene una vista hermosa, pero no tienen variedad en el bar, bebidas que solicitas no las pueden preparar porque no tienen crema de coco para una piña colada, no tienen licor de cafe para un russo blanco, etc. La comida del restaurante es muy buena pero me tocó varias veces que los cubiertos estaban manchados, sucios. Aunque los meseros son bastante atentos. La llegada al hotel por la autopista Guadalajara-Colima está horrible, a vuelta de rueda por las reparaciones de la carretera, te consume mucho tiempo llegar al Hotel Punta Serena, mi estancia fue en Julio de 2026.

Esta es nuestra 8va visita y la pasamos igual de rico que siempre. Solo esta vez creemos que le urge mantenimiento profundo. El servicio muy bueno, las comidas muy buenas, el hotel eso sí, muy limpio. Solo extrañaría los detalles en las habitaciones y hacen falta plantas en los jardines.
