“We had a lovely few days in this quaint cottage. There is everything you need and very close to the village pub, where they let us park our car, as not really ideal outside the cottage. Will definitely return if we go back to the Lake Distruct.”

The house is beautiful, clean and the hosts have thought of everything, including bowls and beds for furry friends! “This was an excellent place to stay, with historic ironworks in front, whitewater in behind, and a real steam-engine train passing by that looked like something out of a story book. There are two flights of 17 steps each, for a total of 34 steps to get to the flat, and then 14 more inside the cottage to get to the bedroom. The unit was immaculate when we arrived, and well-stocked with essentials, except we could not find bedding for the pull-out bed in the main living area. The grounds were...

“Nice accommodation in a quiet location”

“Centrally located, near the lake, allows dogs. Needs grip strips on the stairs for dogs. Gets warm when the sun shines, at the top of the building! Is on the main road so some traffic noise. Is a fabulous property and we had a wonderful stay, would book again.”

“With my Mum having limited mobility the parking situation was a challenge but we managed. We also hadn’t realised the 2nd bedroom was two single beds (our fault for not checking closely enough) but again we managed. Otherwise it was a great place to stay with beautiful views from the little garden on the one evening we had that it didn’t rain. A wonderful place to stay overall and would highly recommend it.”
