“Very friendly, welcoming staff. The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great choice of food, fresh ingredients and good choice. Highly recommended”

“The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The thing that let it down was the food. A lot of the courses were tasteless including the main breakfast. The only other thing we did not like was the shower, climbing in and out a bath. Also could not open the windows in.the room when it got warm”

“I visited here for 3 night with my grandson. The location, views, cleanliness, bedroom were excellent. Only criticism i have is that I'm 68 and our room was on the very top floor. Not the fault of anyone. I would live to stay here again.”

“All as expected, central location. Not far from car parks/railway and bus station. Staff all lovely and very helpful . Bar very popular. Room comfortable and clean.”

“A clean and tidy well managed guest house, that offered us a pet friendly option. Location (for us) excellent, situated on the quieter side of Scarborough but with easy access to walks along cliff top promenade and gardens together with reasonably near access to main town area. Check in was easy and parking fairly easy to access with option to purchase permit. Security and access of the building was fine. The room was very pleasant clean and tidy with perfectly adequate bathroom and good storage...

“Room was clean and presentable room smelled nice an fresh when we came back after our day out staff were friendly Valerie was a good host lovely breakfasts each day and great parking at the back well secured loved it”

“Enough bedding for the depths of winter and a comfortable bed big enough for us two. An unspoilt Victorian house. Very good breakfast. Plenty of parking, very handy for Pickering & NYMR. We would re visit.”

“Parked car in long stay car park which is immediately behind the cafe / bar and soon found Chapter Two on the market square. Received warm welcome from the person in charge who quickly checked us in and showed us to our room. The room was spacious and well decorated. After a while in the room though we did sense that the room was cold and damp which we raised with the staff who quickly brought us a couple of radiators and a fresh quilt cover. The extra heat did help but over our two night stay...

“The flat was great. Facilities plenty for a long weekend or a short stay. Stairs an issue. I think that was more to do with the site when booking as I asked for ground floor. There is no ground floor accommodation. Brian and his wife were very kind and very good and I will visit again.”
