“Upon my arrival I received a genuinely warm welcome from Chris and Julie. My room was beautifully presented and very clean with a modern look. The breakfasts were excellent and Chris was very friendly and helpful.

“Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. I asked the owner Stacie if I could therefore cancel my second night and obtain a partial refund for it. Stacie agreed...

“Really lovely property. Cosy and welcoming. Beds were great. Lovely care package for us when we arrived.
Shower could do with renovation and the oven a clean (it wasn't horrendous) but we would happily book this place again ”
