“There was a wedding happening on arrival, which was fine, but the party spilled over onto my floor and kept going until 2am. Had I been aware I wouldn't have booked the room or been certain that I had a quiet area of the hotel. Overall the hotel is nice, but it there are some underlying maintenance issues that need to be addressed.”

“We have stayed at Cantley several times over the years and have always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately the cleaning standards need to be improved greatly, although our room was neat and tidy there were cobwebs and layer's of dust everywhere that clearly had not been cleaned for some considerable time. The accommodation may be old but there is no excuse for cleaning duties to be ignored, especially when you have paying guest's to be considered, so from that point alone...

“Bathroom was not stocked with the usual (and expected) shampoo and conditioner; only one towel provided for two guests, and shower screen seal was hanging off. A tower stand was provided but not adequate for the size of the room and the outside ambient temperature (19 degrees overnight).”
