“The inn was charming and the room was comfortable but on the small side (the door wouldn't fully open without hitting the side table). The bathroom was equal parts tiny and tidy. The property overall is snug, especially the parking (beware if you are driving a large vehicle), but the compact footprint and unconventional layout made it feel cozy, almost like staying in a friend's guest room rather than a hotel.

“Really enjoyed our stay at Hanscoms in Bar Harbor. Our cottage was very clean and comfortable. The location is about 10 minutes outside of the busy areas of Bar Harbor and about 5 minutes away from Acadia NP... close, but not too close... nice and quiet. In hindsight we probably would have selected a unit with more of a kitchen, ours just had a small fridge and microwave. Nice touch... there is a community area with a fire pit and everything is provided to get a nice fire going.”

“Unique place to stay. Small but perfect for what we needed. Everything worked fine. Wish it had an actual heating system rather than a portable heater. Got pretty cold and I was afraid to leave the heater on while we were out. This meant longer heating times.
Convenient location to Winter Harbor and Ellsworth.
Recommend pod-type coffee maker. It would be easier and less messy than bags of coffee.”
