“It was a wonderful, yet too brief, one night stay. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Our meal in the informal dining/pub options was nourishing and delicious. The room was clean, large, and bright. We were able to get a room facing back garden and with views. A big pot of tea and a freshly pressed coffee were very nice at breakfast. Local walks on the moor, and to the quarry & rocks and were fab.”

“Room was lovely and bright, could just see the estuary in the distance. Comfy bed, bathroom was small. Food was great, even served roast on Sun evening and it was delicious. We ate both nights of our stay, food was delicious and restaurant really busy which is a good sign. Staff and locals were very friendly. All in all a great find.”

“Claire and Chris our hosts were both very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. A great welcome after our 6 hour drive! The car pass was all ready for us to park our car, our room was ready too. On arrival we were offered tea and coffee and a great choice of chocolate bars! Perfect! Breakfast was absolutely delicious with lots of choice hot and cold. The views from the guest house are beautiful. There are lots of restaurants nearby within walking distance. Nothing was too much trouble....

We loved the ambience and the food There was nothing we disliked except the proximity of the village church which insisted on striking every quarter hour day and night. It was an unusually warm night in October so we had the window open so I would advise using earplugs if the window is open.”
