“Stayed here for one night on my way down from Edinburgh to London. The hotel is pet friendly. There is £15 charge, not sure if it’s per night or once time charge. The view from the bar is nice. HOWEVER, the lower level rooms (twin rooms) smells terrible. It smells damp. I had to ask to be moved to another room. Even the “upgrade” standard double room smelled damp. “This hotel was very hit and miss. It was recently refurbished but still really lacking - for example the bathroom was so tiny you could barely fit on the toilet seat without banging your knees on the sink. The bathroom door wouldn’t close. The bed was probably the most uncomfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in.
