“Lovely room. We booked the dog friendly room and we had dog bowls, and a doggy treat pack including toy, treats & poo bags. Nice little touch! Great food as always, lovely full English breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.”

“Staff were great but there were very clear signs of wear and tear which for the price was poor. Outside seating area was very worn and tired. Black mould in the corner of the room. Threadbare bath mat. For £800+/night the upkeep of the room should have been a lot better.”

“The accommodation is very clean, free hot drinks while we stayed and staff very nice, it could do with a lick of paint in certain areas. The location is amazing for walking to both Grasmere and Ambleside. We went to the local pub to watch the badgers. The grounds of Rydal Hall are beautiful and include the grot and a waterfall, Would stay again.”

“Located conveniently 10 mins walk away from Bowness Bay and 5 mins walk away from the town centre. We had a good view from the room. Parking can be a challenge, but you’d be able to find a spot nearby. Overall a great stay.”
