“The property was was pretty much as expected, The room was clean and big. The issue we had was there did not seem to be sufficent sound deading between the rooms, as we could hear voices from other rooms. Could not hear what they were saying, but could near the noise. Luckily they went to bed about the same time we did and did not wake up before we did, but it not what we wanted or expected. It was in a very isolated location. That was not a problem for us, but something to be aware of. ...

“The B&B was in a good central location with buses stopping just outside if you needed one. It was about 20 minutes walk into Bowness at a steady pace and 10 minutes walk into Bowness. At first we thought it was a quiet place to stay and the area was. Unfortunately not inside, the noise from the room above us was continuous, sounded like elephants stomping around, from about 7am and until up to 11.00pm. It was difficult to relax at times. Obviously whilst out it did not disturb, but as soon as we...

“Exceptional stay! Beautiful breakfast, great location and very clean! Would highly recommend.”

“The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...

“El hotel está en muy buenas condiciones. La habitación limpia y la atención del personal muy buena. Buen desayuno.”

“Enjoyed a great 3 night stay at the Hideaway. This is a true Bed & Breakfast. Our bed was comfortable and our private bath had been nicely modernized with helpful shelves and racks. The breakfasts were prepared to order from a balanced menu. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Due to the rain we did not get to enjoy the outside sitting area but it looked inviting. The bedroom itself was a bit tight, but we had small roller bags so we were able to situate everything - would have been...

“Buena propiedad pero mala mantenida. Alfombra rota en las escaleras, baño que no andaba bien, poco cuidado. Buen desayuno. Hermoso ambiente. Hermoso parque.”
